Richard R. Heuser, MD, FACC, FACP, FESC, MSCAI

Dr. Heuser received his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine Madison, Wisconsin and completed his medical internship and residency, as well as cardiology fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. He is an internationally recognized cardiologist, inventor, educator, and author and is a diplomat of the American Board of Cardiovascular Diseases and the American Board of Interventional Cardiovascular Diseases. He is a Professor of Medicine at the University of Arizona College of Medicine, as well as past Director of the Interventional Fellowship Program at the University of Arizona College of Medicine, Phoenix Campus. He is Professor of Practice, College of Health Solutions, Arizona State University.
Dr. Heuser is the former President of the Arizona Chapter of the American Heart Association and remains a member of the Board. He was named 2010 Health Care Hero by the Phoenix Business Journal in Arizona. He was awarded the Top Innovation award for his technology at the 2016 CRT meeting. He was also named Physician of the Year at the 2016 Arizona Business Magazine Healthcare Leadership Awards. He recently was honored to participate in the 40th Anniversary of Angioplasty in Zurich, Switzerland.
He has authored numerous articles, textbooks, and medical manuscript, and is frequently invited to international medical conferences to present findings of research developed in Phoenix, Arizona.
